Hello, my name is Ruth Munro AKA Little Blank Spaces and I’m based in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland - Inverness. I host weekly live online and in classroom training sessions from my private studio in Culloden (IV2 7WB). I can’t believe I’ve been teaching with Magpie for almost seven years now - times flies when you are having fun!
I pride myself on offering a friendly, professional and extremely supportive environment for all of my students before, during and after training. I offer a wide range of live online and in salon training, from nail art and various nail systems (gel, acrygel, builder gel and e-file) to pre recorded business management, social media and marketing classes too.
I love seeing my students gain confidence, progress with their skills and thrive in every aspect of their nail career. I also enjoy keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and products by taking regular training myself as well as getting creative with my clients.
I’ve been very honoured to win awards for ‘Best Nail Art’ and ‘Best Nail Educator’ as well as come runner up for ‘Best use of Social Media’, ‘Best Business Mentor’ and ‘Services to the Industry’ in various prestigious nail awards throughout my career.

Magpie Manicure Masterclass is an essential nail qualification for beginners covering anatomy and physiology, health and safety, massage, red and french polish application, removal, aftercare and business advice. No previous experience is required to attend the manicure masterclass. Each student will receive an in depth training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion.
£105 plus kit - 6 hour classroom course.
Gel Education
Magpie Gel Colour Masterclass is available for students who are new to gel polish which covers nail anatomy, health and safety, red and french gel polish application, removal, aftercare and business advice. A certificate in manicure is required to attend gel colour training. Students will receive an in depth gel colour training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion. A manicure qualification is required to book.
£105 plus kit - 6 hour classroom course.
Magpie Online Gel Conversion Workshop has been created to troubleshoot magpie gel colour application and clarify any questions or queries users may have about fully converting to our amazing system. Gel conversion covers health and safety, nail anatomy, each gel base/top and colour information and application, as well as removal. Conversion students will receive a written handout and e-certificate of attendance upon successful completion. A gel qualification is required to book.
£40 plus kit - 4 hours online course.
Magpie Build Me Up Builder Gel Masterclass is suitable for techs who are new to builder gel, covering nail anatomy, health and safety, chemistry, overlay, tip and sculpted extensions, infills, removal, aftercare advice and business advice. A certificate in manicure is required to attend the masterclass available for in person training only. Students will receive an in depth builder gel training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion. A manicure qualification is required to book.
£150 plus kit - 8.5 hours classroom course.
Magpie Online BMU Conversion Workshop has been created to troubleshoot magpie builder gel application and clarify any questions or queries users may have about fully converting to our brilliant builder system. BMU conversion covers health and safety, nail anatomy, chemistry, nail prep, overlay, tip and sculpted extension application, infills and removal. Conversion students will receive a detailed written handout and certificate of attendance upon successful completion. A builder qualification is required to book.

Full on Tips Education
Magpie Online "Full On Tips" Accredited Workshop is available to qualified builder/hard gel or acrylic technicians who are converting over to the new express extension full coverage nail tips system. This workshop covers health and safety, nail anatomy, chemistry, nail prep, tip application, infills, removal. students will receive a detailed written handout and certificate of attendance upon successful completion. A builder/hard gel qualification is required to book.

Acrygel Education
Magpie Perfect Poly Acrygel Masterclass is available for those who are new to acrygel, covering nail anatomy, health and safety, chemistry, overlay, tip and sculpted extensions, infills, removal, aftercare advice and business advice. A certificate in manicure is required to attend the masterclass available for in person training only. Students will receive an in depth acrygel training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion. A manicure qualification is required to book.

Magpie Acrylic Masters is suitable for those who are new to acrylic which covers nail anatomy, health and safety, legal requirements, chemistry, practical overlay, tip and sculpts, infills, removal, aftercare advice and business advice. A certificate in manicure is required to attend training in salon only, which is split over three days. Students will receive an in depth acrylic training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion. A manicure qualification is required to book.
£450 plus kit - 18 hours classroom course.
Magpie Online Acrylic Conversion Workshop has been created to troubleshoot magpie acrylic application and clarify any questions or queries users may have about fully converting to our acrylic system. The workshop covers health and safety, nail anatomy, chemistry, nail prep, overlay, tip and sculpted extension acrylic application, infills and removal. A minimum of a year qualified in nails is required to attend the Masterclass. Students will receive an in depth e-file training manual, qualified pin badge and ABT accredited certificate upon successful completion.

Magpie Bronze Masterclass is a beginner level introductory course to the world of Magpie, aimed at those new to nail art or to Magpie. Students will learn all about the glitter range, different types of glitter and how each one works with different application methods to achieve the best look possible. Students will also be introduced to shape, foil, dust, pigment and flake application. Students will receive an in depth training manual, qualified pin badge, exclusive bronze glitter, and accredited certificate upon successful completion. A qualification in gel is required to book.

Magpie Silver Masterclass is an intermediate level day introducing some more advanced levels of design with the Magpie products , introducing chroming, striping tapes and some layering techniques to achieve the most popular on trend looks. Students will learn how to create the perfect chrome finish, chrome ombré, mermaid scale nails, 3D unicorn horns, Aztec design and chrome cuffs. Students will receive an in depth training manual, qualified pin badge, exclusive silver glitter, and accredited certificate upon successful completion. A qualification in gel is required to book.

Magpie Gold Masterclass is our advanced level design day, ideal for those who are wanting to take their nail design skills to the next level. A day of on trend designs, using the whole Magpie range, layering different techniques to create a finished look, gel design and intricate detail work. Students learn how to create over ten different designs, including baby boomers, rainbow ombré, stone marble, Himalayan salt nails, sharm roses, 3D gem stones, pin stripes, floral work, flames and jungle. Students will receive an in depth training manual, qualified pin badge, exclusive gold glitter, and accredited certificate upon successful completion. A gel qualification is required to book.
